Product Overview
Composition: Losartan (50mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg)
ANGIZAAR H is a combination of Hydrochlorothiazide and Losartan which belongs to the group of medicines called Thiazide like diuretics and Angiotensin II receptor antagonists respectively. ANGIZAAR H is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. Essential hypertension (also known as high blood pressure) is a medical condition in which the force of the blood exerted against the walls of the artery remains very high, and as a result it may lead to severe damage to the blood vessels of several organs, thus causing heart attack, heart or kidney failure, stroke, or even blindness.
ANGIZAAR H is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women and pregnant women (especially after 3 months of gestation), as it may cause potential harm to the unborn baby. The most common side effects of ANGIZAAR H are cough, diarrhea, stomach pain, dizziness, tiredness, and headache. Consult your doctor if any of the symptom bothers you.

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Angizaar-H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How It works
Angizaar-H Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Losartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, which lowers the blood pressure effectively. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. This allows the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Angizaar-H Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Angizaar-H Tablet.
Pregnancy
Angizaar-H Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding
Angizaar-H Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
