Composition: Azithromycin 200mg
Each 5ml contain: azithromycin 200mg. It is an antibiotic medication that is used to treat several types of disease that is caused due to bacteria.Azithromycin will not treat a viral infection such as the flu or a common cold. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. You may take this medicine with food if it upsets your stomach as prescribed by your doctor.

How It works
It binds to 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible microorganisms and blocks dissociation of peptidyl tRNA from ribosomes and cause arrest of RNA-dependent protein synthesis but does not affect nucleic acid synthesis. It acts against micro-organisms like Chlamydophila pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus agalactiae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Chlamydia trachomatis or Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Pregnancy
Animals studies indicate that Azithromycin 200 MG Syrup is safe for use during pregnancy. However, human data are not available. Hence, consult your doctor if you are pregnant.
Breastfeeding
Azithromycin 200 MG Syrup may pass into the breastmilk in small amounts. If you are breastfeeding, consult your doctor to understand the potential benefits and risks. It may cause diarrhoea, vomiting, and diaper rash in your infant.
