Composition: Cefadroxil (500mg)
CEFADROX 500MG TABLET contains Cefadroxil which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat bacterial infections in both adults and in children (weighing more than 40 kg). It can be used in the treatment of various bacterial infections affecting the throat, upper part of the respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues and the urinary tract.A bacterial infection can be defined as a proliferation of various harmful strains of bacteria in the body. They can affect any part(s) of the body including the respiratory tract, urinary tract, eyes, ears, skin, soft tissue or bones.
CEFADROX 500MG TABLET is effective in treating bacterial infections affecting different parts of the body including the respiratory tract, urinary tract, throat and skin and soft tissues.Before taking CEFADROX 500MG TABLET inform your doctor if you are going to have any blood test (Coombs Test) to detect blood count or any chemical urine test to detect blood sugar levels. CEFADROX 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to penicillin antibiotics (such as amoxicillin, ampicillin) and in patients having severe kidney impairment (including dialysis).

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Cefadrox 500mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How It works
Cefadrox 500mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Cefadrox 500mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Safety Advice for Cefadrox 500mg Tab
Alcohol
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking CEFADROX 500MG TABLET.
Pregnancy
Cefadrox 500mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breastfeeding
Cefadrox 500mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Avoid prolonged use of Cefadrox 500mg Tablet, since it may have possible effects such as rash and diarrhea.
