Ciprofloxacin eye and ear drops are primarily used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes and ears. They can be prescribed for conditions such as bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye), corneal ulcers, otitis externa (outer ear infection), and other localized bacterial infections in the eye or ear.

Some individuals may experience mild side effects such as temporary stinging, burning, or discomfort at the site of administration. Serious side effects or allergic reactions are rare but can occur.

The dosage and frequency of ciprofloxacin eye and ear drops will depend on the specific condition being treated and the recommendation of your healthcare professional. For eye infections, the drops are typically instilled into the affected eye(s) every 4 to 6 hours. For ear infections, the drops are typically applied into the affected ear(s) two to three times a day.
