Product Overview
Each Dicox 60 tablet contains Etoricoxib IP 60 mg. Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti inflammatory drug. Orally administered Etoricoxib is well absorbed. The absolute bioavailability is approximately 100%. Etoricoxib is approximately 92% bound to human plasma protein.
Uses
Osteoarthritis, Rheumtoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute pain conditions, acute gouty arhritis, postoperative dental surgery pain.
Side Effect
Flu, indigestion , stomach pain, diarrhoea, peripheral edema, flatulence, weakness, fatigue, nausea, high blood pressure, difficulty while breathing, arrythmia.
How to use
For osteoarthritis, the recommended dose is 60mg once a day.
For rheumatoid arthritis, the recommended dose is 90mg once a day.
For ankylosing spondylitis, the recommended dose is 90mg once a day.
For the relief of gout attacks, the recommended dose is 120 mg once a day, which should only be used for the acute painful period.
For the relief of chronic musculoskeletal pain, the recommended dose is 60 mg once a day.
How It works
It is a NSAID which mainly inhibits the cyclo-oxygenase -2 enzyme. By reducing the synthesis of inflammatory mediators, etoricoxib can modify the pain response.
