Composition:  Entecavir (0.5mg)

 

ENTAVIR 0.5MG TABLET contains Entecavir which belongs to the group of medicines called Antiviral agents. It is used to treat chronic Hepatitis-B infection in adults, children, and adolescents (2-18 years old). Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver and can cause both acute and chronic disease.

 

Entavir 0.5mg Tablet is not a cure for HIV or AIDS and only helps to decrease the amount of HIV in your body. This helps to lower your risk of getting HIV-related complications and improves your lifespan. It is prescribed in combination with other HIV medicines. Your doctor will recommend the best medicines for you and will decide the doses that you need. Follow carefully the instructions for all the medicines that you are given.

 

Prior to the treatment, your doctor may want you to take several blood tests to understand your existing condition. Before taking ENTAVIR 0.5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart disease, or HIV infection. ENTAVIR 0.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it. ENTAVIR 0.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children (less than 2 years of age). Consult your doctor before taking it.

How to use

What if you forget to take?

If you miss a dose of Entavir 0.5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
