Composition: Fexofenadine (180mg)
FEXOFEN 180MG TABLET contains Fexofenadine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihistamines. It is used in adults and children (aged above 12 years) to provide relief from symptoms of hay fever or seasonal allergic rhinitis. It is also used to provide relief from symptoms associated with chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children (aged above 12 years), generally characterized by symptoms such as itching, swelling and rashes.
Seasonal allergic rhinitis is an inflammatory condition of the upper airways that occurs in response to exposure to airborne allergens (such as tree, grass and weed pollens) in sensitized individuals which is generally characterized by symptoms such as nasal stuffiness, itchy nose/throat/eyes, headache and weakness.Avoid drinking fruit juices such as grapefruit, orange and apple while taking FEXOFEN 180MG TABLET as it may reduce the effect of this medicine. FEXOFEN 180MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Fexofenadine.

How to use
Take FEXOFEN 180MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow this medicine and do not crush or chew the medicine. Correct dose and duration will be decided by your doctor depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
How It works
FEXOFEN 180MG TABLET works by blocking the actions of H1 histamine receptors (chemical substance responsible for allergic reaction) that results in preventing the occurrence of seasonal allergic rhinitis and idiopathic urticaria thus providing relief from the symptoms associated with both conditions.
What if you forget to take?
Unless your doctor has advised a specific regime, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not take a double dose to catch up on any missed dose, follow the prescribed dosing schedule strictly.
Safety Advice for Fexofen 180mg
Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Fexofen 180mg Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy
Fexofen 180mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding
Fexofen 180mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Because of low milk levels and lack of sleepiness, use of Fexofen 180mg Tablet would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed babies.
