Product Overview
Composition: Granisetron (1mg)
GRANDEM 1 TABLET contains a medicine Granisetron which belongs to a group of medicines called Anti-emetics. It is used to prevent or treat nausea (feeling sick) and vomiting (being sick) caused by other medical treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer.
Before taking GRANDEM 1 TABLET inform your doctor if you have heart diseases, blockage in your stomach or intestines, electrolyte abnormalities, galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. GRANDEM 1 TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Consult with your doctor before taking. GRANDEM 1 TABLET should not be used in children below 2 years of age. GRANDEM 1 TABLET can be used in elderly people (65 years and older). However, consult with your doctor before taking.

Nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Grandem 1 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How It works
Grandem 1 Tablet is an antiemetic medication. It works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the brain that may cause nausea and vomiting during anti-cancer treatment (chemotherapy) or after surgery.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Grandem 1 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Grandem 1 Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy
Grandem 1 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breastfeeding
Grandem 1 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
