Product Overview
INSAID 25MG CAPSULE contains Indomethacin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. It is used to reduce swelling and treat moderate to severe inflammatory diseases of the joints (such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and degenerative hip disease), pain & stiffness in the backbone (ankylosing spondylitis).
Uses
It is used to reduce swelling and treat:
- Moderate to severe inflammatory diseases of the joints (such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and degenerative hip disease)
- Pain & stiffness in the backbone (ankylosing spondylitis)
- Sprains & strains (such as acute muscle and bone disorders)
- Lower back pain
- Pain & swelling following muscle/ bone surgery
- Pain due to menstruation
- Gout (joint pain)
- Acute painful shoulder (such as bursitis, tendinitis)
Side Effect

How to use
Take INSAID 25MG CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Swallow INSAID 25MG CAPSULE with a glass of water/milk, with or immediately after food. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.
How It works
INSAID 25MG CAPSULE works by preventing the function of enzyme cyclooxygenase-1 and 2 which leads to the stopping of prostaglandins synthesis (chemical substances responsible for pain & inflammation) that results in reduced inflammatory reactions and relief from pain.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of INSAID Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Safety Advice for Insaid 25mg Tab
PREGNANCY
INSAID 25MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use during the last three months of pregnancy. It can be used with caution during the first six months of pregnancy if recommended by your doctor.
BREASTFEEDING
INSAID 25MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking INSAID 25MG CAPSULE.
ALCOHOL
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking INSAID 25MG CAPSULE as it may increase the risk of ulcers and bleeding in the stomach.
