Composition: Lamivudine (150mg)
LAMIVIR 150MG TABLET contains Lamivudine which belong to the group of medicines called Anti-viral drugs. It is used to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection in adults and children. Lamivir 150 Tablet is used in the treatment of HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It prevents the multiplication of virus in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection.
Lamivir 150 Tablet is not a cure for HIV or AIDS and only helps to decrease the amount of HIV in your body. This helps to lower your risk of getting HIV-related complications and improves your lifespan. It is prescribed in combination with other HIV medicines. Your doctor will recommend the best medicines for you and will decide the doses that you need. Follow carefully the instructions for all the medicines that you are given. It can be taken with or without food.

How to use

How It works
LAMIVIR 150MG TABLET inhibits the activity of enzyme (HIV-1 reverse transcriptase) which is responsible for virus replication. Thus, it helps to prevent HIV from replication in the body.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Lamivir 150 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alcohol
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Lamivir 150 Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy
LAMIVIR 150MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless it is considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Breastfeeding
Women who are HIV-positive must not breast-feed, because HIV infection can be passed on to the baby in breast milk. A small amount of the ingredients in LAMIVIR 150MG TABLET can also pass into your breast milk. Hence, nursing mothers must not breastfeed their infants while taking LAMIVIR 150MG TABLET. Contact your doctor immediately if you’re breast-feeding or thinking about breast-feeding.
