How It works

Monocef-SB 1g Injection is a combination of two medicines: Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.

Allergy

Do not receive MONOCEF SB 1GM INJECTION if you are allergic to ceftriaxone, sulbactam or to penicillin or similar antibiotics like carbapenems or monobactams or lidocaine or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Pregnancy

MONOCEF SB 1GM INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before receiving MONOCEF SB 1GM INJECTION.

Breastfeeding

MONOCEF SB 1GM INJECTION should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before receiving.
