Product Overview
Composition: Montelukast (10mg)
MONTAIR 10MG TABLET contains Montelukast which belongs to the group of medicines called Leukotriene Receptor Antagonists. It is used to treat and prevent the signs and symptoms of asthma and seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and in adolescents (aged 15 years or older). It can also be used to prevent bronchospasm (narrowing of airways) triggered due to exercise.
Asthma is a long-term respiratory disease in which your airways become inflamed, swollen and narrowed. It also causes excessive mucous secretion in the airways which makes it difficult for the air to pass through, leading to unpleasant symptoms like wheezing, difficulty in breathing, chest pain and/or cough.
Seasonal allergic rhinitis (also known as hay fever) is an allergic condition triggered due to exposure of oneself towards various allergens (such as pollens, dusts, mould or flakes of skin from certain animals). It is often characterized by inflammation of the inner lining of nose accompanied by nasal congestion, repeated sneezing and/or a red, watery or itchy eyes.

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Montair 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How It works
Montair 10 Tablet works by blocking the action of leukotriene, a chemical messenger. This reduces inflammation in the airways to prevent asthma and relieve symptoms of allergies.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Montair 10 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Safety Advice for Montair 10mg
Alcohol
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Montair 10 Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Pregnancy
Montair 10 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breastfeeding
Montair 10 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
