Composition: Ceftriaxone (1000mg) + Tazobactum (125mg)
MONTAZ 1GM INJECTION is a combination of Ceftriaxone and Tazobactam which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat several bacterial infections like lower respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia, acute bacterial otitis media lower respiratory tract infections, pneumonia, infection in the ear, skin, urinary tract infections, gonorrhoea, pelvic inflammatory disease, bacterial septicaemia, bone and joint infections, intra-abdominal infections, including peritonitis and biliary tract infections, bacterial meningitis, surgical prophylaxis (pre-operative antibiotics, infections in neutropenic patients).

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics or to any other medicines. MONTAZ 1GM INJECTION should not be used in patients allergic to penicillin antibiotics, cefepime, tazobactam and other beta-lactam antibiotics.

How It works
Montaz 1g Injection is a combination of two medicines: Ceftriaxone and Tazobactum. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Tazobactum is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.

Allergy
Do not take if you are allergic to Ceftriaxone, Tazobactam, other beta- lactam or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Pregnancy
Montaz 1g Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Breastfeeding
Montaz 1g Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
