Composition: Mupirocin 

Mupirocin ointment is primarily used to treat skin infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria, including impetigo (a contagious skin infection), secondary infected skin lesions, and infected wounds.

Side Effect

Common side effects:

  • Burning
  • Stinging, itching, or rash at the site of application. 

How to use

Clean the affected area with mild soap and water. Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected area. Gently massage the ointment into the skin.
Wash your hands after applying the ointment. Follow the recommended frequency of application, usually two to three times a day. Use the ointment for the full duration prescribed by your healthcare provider. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, or mouth. Follow the instructions and advice provided by your healthcare provider.
