Composition:  Norfloxacin (0.30%)

 

NORFLOX E/E DROPS contains Norfloxacin which belongs to a group of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye and ears. Norfloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent that exerts its bactericidal effect by inhibiting the DNA gyrase, an essential enzyme involved in DNA replication. Use it in the dose and duration as prescribed by your physician.  

Always use NORFLOX E/E DROPS exactly as directed by your doctor. Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have or had any allergies, viral infections, liver, kidney or heart conditions. Consult the doctor for advice if pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not suitable for use in children under 1 year of age.

How to use

This medicine is for external use only.Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

Norflox Eye/Ear Drops is an antibiotic. It treats bacterial eye/ear infections by preventing the bacteria from dividing and repairing. It does so stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase.

Breastfeeding

Norflox Eye/Ear Drops is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
