Composition: Ofloxacin (400mg)
OFLOX 400MG TABLET contains Ofloxacin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to treat and prevent various bacterial infections involving the respiratory system, urinary system (kidneys and bladder), both male and female genital organs (such as gonorrhoea), ears, nose, skin and soft tissues. Bacterial infections are generally characterized by fever, extreme tiredness, swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, groin or elsewhere, headache, nausea or vomiting.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking OFLOX 400MG TABLET, as it can make you feel dizzy or sleepy. Before recommending OFLOX 400MG TABLET your doctor may advise you to take relevant tests to understand your condition.
OFLOX 400MG TABLET is not recommended for use if you have fits or ever had swollen tendons. Before taking OFLOX 400MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, heart, mental health problems, myasthenia gravis or diabetes. OFLOX 400MG TABLET is not recommended for use by pregnant and breastfeeding women, children or adolescents (less than 18 years old). Consult your doctor before taking OFLOX 400MG TABLET.

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Oflox 400 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How It works
Oflox 400 Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This prevents the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing them.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Oflox 400 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Safety Advice for Oflox 400mg
Allergy
Do not take OFLOX 400MG TABLET if you are allergic to Ofloxacin or any other ingredients in this medicine or previously had an allergic reaction to any quinolone antibiotic.
Pregnancy
Oflox 400 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding
Oflox 400 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
