Oflox Eye/Ear Drop

Ofloxacin eye and ear drops are prescribed to treat bacterial infections in the eyes and ears, including:

1. - Eye Infections: These drops can be used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and other eye infections caused by susceptible bacteria.

2. - Ear Infections: Ofloxacin ear drops are used to treat bacterial ear infections, including otitis externa (outer ear infection) and otitis media with a perforated eardrum.

Common side effects might include temporary stinging or burning upon application. If you experience severe or persistent irritation, contact your doctor.

• - For Eye Infections: The typical dosage is usually one to two drops applied to the affected eye(s) every 2 to 4 hours, as directed by your doctor.
• - For Ear Infections: For ear infections, follow your doctor's instructions carefully. The drops are typically applied into the affected ear(s) as prescribed.

For eye infections, tilt your head back slightly, pull down your lower eyelid, and place the prescribed number of drops into the eye's conjunctival sac. For ear infections, gently pull the earlobe upward and backward, and instill the drops into the ear canal.

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting the growth of susceptible bacteria. It prevents bacteria from replicating and spreading.

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. However, if it's close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
