Product Overview
Composition: Pantoprazole (40mg)
PANTOTAB 40MG TABLET contains Pantoprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors. It is used to treat peptic ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and reflux esophagitis and its associated symptoms such as acidity, heartburn, acid reflux and pain in swallowing.
PANTOTAB 40MG TABLET can also be used to prevent peptic ulcer caused due to long-term use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as aspirin, ibuprofen). It is suitable for use both in adults and in children (aged 12 years or above weighing 35 kg or more). Take PANTOTAB 40MG TABLET at least 1 hour before meals to achieve maximum benefits. During treatment with PANTOTAB 40MG TABLET your doctor will closely monitor your kidney functions, liver functions and blood magnesium levels to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects.

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pantotab Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
How It works
Pantotab Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which in turn relieves acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Pantotab Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Pantotab Tablet.
Pregnancy
Pantotab Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeeding
Pantotab Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
