• To treat many types of mild to moderate infections caused by bacteria, including scarlet fever, pneumonia, skin infections, and infections affecting the Nose, Mouth, or Throat
• To prevent the symptoms of rheumatic fever or chorea recurring
• To prevent infections of the heart valves in people with certain heart conditions who need to have dental work or surgery
• Prevent infections such as rheumatic fever and prevention of infection in patients without a spleen or patients with sickle cell disease

Common side effects:

• A Skin Rash
• Diarrhea
• Nausea
• Vomiting

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Each dose should be swallowed with a drink of water, at least 30 minutes before food. Try to space the doses as early as possible throughout the day If you forget to take this medicine:
