Product Overview
Composition: Piroxicam (20mg)
PIROX 20MG TABLET contains Piroxicam, which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. It helps to reduce pain and swelling affecting the joints. It is also used to relieve the symptoms caused by osteoarthritis (a joint disease that occurs when the protective tissues at the end of the bones wear out and is characterised by joint pain in the hands, neck, and hip), rheumatoid arthritis (autoimmune disease-causing painful swelling of joints and stiffness), and ankylosing spondylitis (rheumatism of the spine resulting in a hunched forward posture).
PIROX 20MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with heart problems, and it should be used with caution in patients with asthma, liver, and kidney problems. PIROX 20MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women, especially during the last three months of pregnancy, and it should be used with caution during breastfeeding.
Before using it, you should let your doctor know if you have a history of stomach ulcers, heart diseases, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors before using the medicine.

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Pirox DT Tablet is to be taken with food.
How It works
Pirox DT Tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation (pain and swelling).
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Pirox DT Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
