Presin-L is the group of antihypertensive drugs consisting two major component including Amlodipine and losartan.

Amlodipine and losartan are two different medications commonly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Amlodipine belongs to a class of medications called calcium channel blockers, while losartan belongs to a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs).

When used together, amlodipine and losartan can have a synergistic effect in reducing blood pressure. They work through different mechanisms to relax blood vessels and lower blood pressure. Amlodipine blocks calcium channels in the blood vessels, preventing calcium from entering the smooth muscle cells and causing them to relax, which results in vasodilation. Losartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that constricts blood vessels, thereby promoting vasodilation and reducing blood pressure.

By combining amlodipine and losartan, the goal is to achieve better blood pressure control compared to using either medication alone. This combination is commonly prescribed when a single medication does not provide adequate blood pressure control on its own.
