This belongs to a group of medicines called ovulation stimulants. It works by stimulating the release of eggs from the ovary (ovulation). Clomid is used for some types of infertility, in women who are not ovulating properly. Clomiphene citrate is primarily indicated for female patients who wish to become pregnant but are not ovulating properly, provided their partner is fertile and other causes of infertility have been ruled out.
