Product Overview

Eczema (also known as atopic dermatitis) is treated with Tacroz Forte Ointment. It functions by reducing the activity of specific immune cells that lead to skin inflammation (redness and swelling). In atopic dermatitis, this reduces itching and helps rashes.

External application is allowed for Tacroz Forte Ointment. It should be applied to the affected area 2-4 times per day, or as directed by a doctor. It should be rubbed into the skin after being applied gradually and uniformly. It shouldn't be used too frequently, and the treated region shouldn't be covered with a bandage or plaster. If the skin grows worse or if there is no improvement even after two weeks of treatment, you must tell your doctor.

Uses

  • Prevention of organ rejection in transplant patients
  • Moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema)

Benefits

Tacroz Forte Ointment is a member of the class of medications known as immunosuppressants and is used to prevent organ rejection in transplant recipients. When your immune system fights the new organ because it perceives it as an invader, organ rejection occurs. The likelihood that your body will attack the transplanted organ is decreased by this medication, which lowers your immune response (which often combats infection). The success of your transplant operation is greatly increased when it is administered in conjunction with other medications. Until your doctor advises you to stop taking the medication, you should keep taking it.

Side Effect

  • Itching or burning sensation at the site of application
  • Skin redness, flushing or pain
  • Increased skin sensitivity towards heat or cold
  • Skin infections
  • Inflamed or infected hair follicles on the skin
  • Facial flushing among alcoholics

How to use

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.

How It works

Tacroz Forte Ointment is an immunosuppressant. It works by suppressing the activity of certain immune cells that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) of the skin. This relieves itching and improves rashes in atopic dermatitis.

What if you forget to take?

If you miss a dose of Tacroz Forte Ointment, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
