Product Overview
Composition: Salbutamol (4mg) + Theophylline (200mg)
THEO ASTHALIN FORTE TABLET is a combination of Salbutamol and Theophylline which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-asthmatic drugs. It is used to treat and prevent asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It can also be used to treat chronic bronchitis (inflammation of the bronchus), bronchospasm (narrowing of airways), emphysema (shortness of breath) and sometimes even heart failure.
Asthma is a long-term respiratory disease in which your airways become inflamed, swollen and narrowed. It also causes excessive mucous secretion in the airways which makes it difficult for the air to pass through, leading to unpleasant symptoms like wheezing, difficulty in breathing, chest pain and/or cough.
Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any kidney or liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. You should also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
