Product Overview
Composition: Warfarin (5mg)
WARF contains Warfarin which belongs to the group of medicines called Oral anti-coagulants. It is used to treat and prevent blood clot formation in the body. It causes blood thinning and improves blood flow through the blood vessels among patients suffering from blood clots or its associated complications (such as atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat), myocardial infarction or pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lungs)). It can also be used to prevent blood clot formation in patients who have valve replacement in their heart.
Before taking WARF inform your doctor if you have any severe liver, kidney, or heart disease. You must also inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, scheduled for any upcoming surgery or had one recently.

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Warf 5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Warf 5 Tablet with Vitamin K rich food such as spinach, collards, broccoli, spring onions, cucumber and dried basil
How It works
Warf 5 Tablet is an anticoagulant. It works by preventing the formation of harmful blood clots. Although it does not dissolve the existing blood clots, it prevents them from growing larger and causing blockages in the blood vessels.
What if you forget to take?
If you miss a dose of Warf 5 Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Warf 5 Tablet.
Pregnancy
Warf 5 Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
Breastfeeding
Warf 5 Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
