The absolute bioavailability in women aged 18-49 is approximately 45%. Tranexamic acid is 3% bound to plasma proteins with no apparent binding to albumin. A small fraction of the Tranexamic acid is metabolized. Tranexamic acid is eliminated by urinary excretion primarily via glomerular filtration with more than 95% of the dose excreted unchanged.
