An iron profile is made up of several blood tests that give information about iron blood. The iron profile measures total amount of iron in blood. It also checks to see iron is attaching to protein.The iron profile may also tell how much iron is in the body besides what is in red blood cells.

For this test you does not require any special preparation. You do not need fasting for this test. You can have your coomon or regular food as required. However, special food and drinks are to be avoided and if your consultant prescribed any medicine you should not consume before providing ur blood sample.
